Angles
ANGLES
Today my class learnt about angles, we learnt how to use a protractor and the different angles like acute which is smaller than 90°, an obtuse is bigger than 90°but smaller than 180° and a right angle is 90°. we discused diffrent angles and digrees. we filled in a work sheet that said to do the degrees and the what the type of angle it is (acute, obtuse, right angle).
after that we went out side to find real life angles around the school we had to find at lest one right angle one acute and one obtuse these were hard to find but me and my friend found that a right were the most conman to find as you could find it on stairs, buildings and on the play ground. after that i felt way more confident to use angels.

PLANTING
On Tuesday we were treated with a day planting, we went to Lake Gem and Lake Ngatu. when we got there we had the privilege of seeing some Summit people who were planting many native species of trees such as manuka, kanuka, flax(harakeke, cabbage trees, karaka, houpara and more, we met Karen from Summit she said some rules then we got straight into it we were away planting making progress, the important thing was we were working to help make a change in the environment as we were all working together.
We dug some holes and and gently put plants in. We had a whole hill to cover our plants with, we had to make the hole way down it. We had the brilliant view of both lakes as we were in the middle of them. Our plants were covering more and more land, when we were about finished we had morning tea by the lake and then had ice blocks. At the end of the day I definitely felt better for helping the environment maybe if we all help we could end up with a better earth.

Lock Down
In lock down lots of things are different such as shops and public places like playgrounds are not to be used. you can not stay somewhere overnight or move from home to batch or second house. you are not allowed to go tramping and you must keep exercise local. You can not go anywhere unless shopping for essentials. When you shop you must nominate one person to go from your household.
